Waste

Waste is becoming a major concern in today’s world. 

How we manage what we throw in the garbage, what we recycle, and what we do with that waste once it is no longer needed by society. Waste management is the process of treating solid/liquid ‘waste’ and in turn creating valued resources and/ or disposing of the ‘waste’ in an environmentally friendly manner. Landfills, and water wastage are becoming a growing issue in Sri Lanka and much of the world. At Hüsk, we are working to create and implement waste management systems and strategies to clean the environment and find new solutions for the sheer amount of waste emitted by humans. 

The easy route is to throw it in the trash and forget about it, but we must become more aware of what we waste, and what harm it can potentially cause to the environment and other living beings. What ‘waste’ can be converted into may surprise many, and we feel at Hüsk it is important to take the initiative and be a part of that process.
